Display advertising
Payments Atlas carries display advertising through Google AdSense. Google chooses which ads appear, based on the page content and on the visitor, and Google bills the advertiser and pays a share to me.
I do not sell this inventory, do not know in advance which advertisers will appear, and cannot exclude a specific competitor from appearing beside an article about them. If you see an ad here that is misleading or offensive, tell me and I will block the category —hello@paymentsatlas.com.
Ads are placed on articles and on editorial pages. They are kept off the privacy, cookies and terms pages, and off error pages.
Affiliate links
Some links to providers, tools or hosting may pay a commission if you sign up. Where that is the case, it is stated on the page the link appears on, next to the link, not buried here.
A commission never determines whether a provider is covered, how it is rated, or where it places in a comparison. Providers that pay nothing appear in comparisons on the same terms as providers that do, and several recommendations on this site earn nothing at all.
What is not accepted
- Sponsored articles and paid reviews. No article is written, commissioned or shaped in exchange for payment.
- Paid links and link insertions. Requests to add a link to an existing article for a fee are declined without reply. Every outbound link is there because it is useful.
- Guest posts. Not accepted, whether paid or free.
- Pre-publication review. No provider, bank or regulator is shown an article before it goes live, and none is given approval rights over how it is described.
Free access and trials
Testing an integration sometimes requires a sandbox or a free developer tier, which most providers offer publicly. Where a provider grants access that is not publicly available, that fact is stated in the guide it produced.
No provider has paid for or subsidised anything published here.

The newsletter carries no advertising and no sponsor slots. Your address is never sold, rented or shared. See the privacy policy.
