By using Payments Atlas you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1.Accuracy and currency

Content is accurate to the best of my knowledge on the date shown on each page. Payment APIs and financial regulation change frequently, and articles are not systematically revised. Check the date and verify against the primary source before relying on anything here. Theeditorial policy sets out how corrections and updates are handled.

2.No professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, regulatory, compliance, tax, accounting or financial advice. No professional relationship arises from reading it or from corresponding with me about it. Regulatory summaries describe how I read a published instrument; they are not a compliance opinion, and decisions carrying legal or financial consequence require your own qualified advisers.

3.Sample code

Sample code is published to illustrate a technique, under the licence stated in its repository. It is not production-hardened, has not been security audited, and is provided without warranty of any kind. Review, test and secure anything you take from here before it touches real money or real customer data. You remain responsible for what you deploy.

4.Third-party services and links

Links to vendor documentation, regulators and other sites are provided for reference. I do not control that material, do not endorse it by linking to it, and am not responsible for it. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that provider's own terms.

5.Advertising and affiliate links

This site carries display advertising served by Google. Ads are selected automatically and their appearance is not an endorsement. Some links may earn a commission, and are labelled where they appear. The disclosure page sets out these arrangements in full.

6.Intellectual property

Articles, diagrams and the design of this site are © Payments Atlas, except where another owner is credited. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link.

Reproducing whole articles, republishing on another site, or using this material to train machine learning models requires written permission. Product and company names mentioned are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify what is being described.

7.Acceptable use

Do not attempt to interfere with the site's operation or security, scrape it in a way that degrades service for others, or misrepresent its content as your own or as endorsed by a provider.

8.Availability

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted access, and pages may be changed, moved or withdrawn without notice.

9.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I accept no liability for loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or its sample code, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operator is resident, without regard to conflict of law rules. Where you use the site as a consumer, this does not deprive you of protections available under the mandatory law of your own country.

11.Changes

These terms may be updated. The effective date above reflects the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
